Native and Edible Landscapes: Permaculture and Organic Gardens with Chelsea Taxman and Jack Phillips. April 6, Noon – 4pm. Universal College of Healing Arts, Omaha. Tuition is $35. This workshop will be held outdoors and will include vigorous activity. Registration one week prior is required. Loess Hills Bur Oak Sapling Sale and Tree Planting Coaching Session with Jack Phillips. April, 12, 9am – noon. Hitchcock Nature Center (Barn), Honey Creek, Iowa. Saplings are 10 – 20″ tall and were grown in a root-production system from acorns collected at Hitchcock, $20 each. We also have red, chinkapin, and black oaks from surrounding counties for sale. Call Jack (402.571.7460) to order.Trees will be available for pick up on April 12. A limited number of trees will be on hand for cash and carry. All proceeds support restoration work at HNC.
