Friends and Colleagues,
I’ve been reading again Thoreau’s Wild Fruits. It begins:
“Most of us are still related to our native fields as the navigator to undiscovered islands in the sea. We can any afternoon discover a new fruit there which will surprise us by its beauty or sweetness.”
Ecological Immersion is about discovering sweetness. And the August session will take us to one of my favorite places at Hitchcock Nature Center. The streamside habitat we will explore with our guides Neal Ratzlaff and Eric Scholar is particularly fertile and verdant, standing sharp contrast to the higher climes we’ve previously enjoyed. It bears a particular sweetness.
Visit www.newtreeschool.org to review details of the August 24th EIP. It is important that you let me know by Wednesday the 21st that you plan to attend. I will have special instructions for those who register.
You will love this session. Just let me know. jackphillipsrca@gmailcom
